What ProTrust covers
Most homeowners want one simple answer: what is covered, and what does that mean when something needs service.
Labor coverage
ProTrust covers labor for qualifying systems. This is the key difference compared to standard coverage often offered by our competitors.
Performance coverage
ProTrust guarantees performance over time. The fact sheet provides year 1 to 25 minimum power and annual degradation targets by product family so you can be secure in your investment.
Product coverage
ProTrust covers panel defects and workmanship issues for up to 25 years. If you report a material issue with your system, REC will make it right.
Why we include ProTrust in our warranty offering
We build for long-horizon ownership. ProTrust keeps support practical and comprehensive, because labor is included for qualifying systems.
If your original commissioning certified installer goes out of business, ProTrust coverage still applies under the program terms.
What you need to qualify
ProTrust is tied to two things:
1) Certified installation
We only work with REC Certified Solar Professional installers. That matters because ProTrust is exclusive to that installer group. We only work with the pros!
2) Registration
Registration is completed through REC SunSnap or REC ProPortal. Review the warranty fact sheet for the exact conditions that apply.
Important: ProTrust is a manufacturer warranty. Registration and claims run through REC’s process and documentation requirements.

Labor is included under ProTrust for qualifying systems. Under most competitor warranties, only performance and/or product coverage is offered, meaning you could be on the hook for the physical work that needs to be done.

Under 25 kW: 25 years. From 25–500 kW: 10 years.
